Program

Champions Childrens Centre provides an environment that is inclusive of all children. The centre is licensed for a maximum of 140 children ranging in age from 2½ to 12.

Champions Children's Centre is located in Grenoble Public School at 9 Grenoble Drive in Toronto, Ontario. We are licensed by Ministry of Children And Youth Services and the Ministry of Community and Social Services to accommodate 16 preschoolers (2½-4 year olds), 78 kindergarteners (4 and 5 year olds) and 45 school-aged children. (6 - 12 year olds).

Days and Hours of Operation

The centre is open from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. All children must be in the centre by 10:30 am. If your child has an appointment please contact the centre at (416) 467-5983 and let staff know that they will be in late.

We are CLOSED for the following Statutory holidays:

  • Canada Day: July 1, 2019
  • Simcoe Day (Civic Holiday): August 5, 2019
  • Labour Day: September 2, 2019
  • Thanksgiving: October 14, 2019
  • Family Day: February 17, 2020
  • Good Friday: April 10, 2020
  • Easter Monday: April 13, 2020
  • Victoria Day: May 18, 2020

The Centre is closed on the final Friday before school begins and will be closed between Christmas day to New Year's Day, re-opening the first working day of the New Year. We open for all other days including March Break, Summer Break and all Professional Development days.

Nutritious meals are provided to all children in the program. A morning snack, hot noon meal and afternoon snack are included in the Preschool program. Nutritious morning and afternoon snacks are included in the Kindergarten and School-age program,

Program plans are posted weekly in each room. They reflect the Centre's philosophy and each program's goals. In addition to the above, each program plan reflects the children's individual needs and abilities. As much as possible, the children are encouraged to be part of the planning process. Suggestions, ideas are always welcome from children and parents.
