Our Educators

I hold a Bachelor of Education from Delta State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Ontario Tech University. I earned my RECE designation from Centennial College, and my commitment to advocacy and policy in the childcare sector led me to serve on the Board of Directors of the Toronto Coalition for Better Child Care (TCBCC) from December 2020 to December 2023.

As the Executive Director of Champions Children’s Centre, I work closely with our dedicated team to ensure high-quality early learning experiences for children and strong partnerships with families. I oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with city and provincial regulations while fostering an environment where children, educators, and families feel valued and supported.

Beyond my role in early childhood education, I am also a published children’s book author, using storytelling to inspire young minds. Above all, I am a wife and a proud mom to three amazing children who remind me every day of the joy and importance of nurturing young learners.

Learning is a lifelong journey, and I believe that I learn just as much from the children as they do from me. Their curiosity and creativity inspire me every day.

Outside of work, I love spending time in nature, finding peace and inspiration in the outdoors.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, playing volleyball, and exploring the world of color, whether through art, design, or creative projects. I love finding ways to bring creativity into learning experiences and inspiring children to express themselves in fun and meaningful ways.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy cooking, exploring the outdoors, and traveling. Whether trying out new recipes, going on nature walks, or experiencing different cultures, I love discovering and learning new things, just like the children I teach!

Currently, I work in the Preschool Room, where I strive to build meaningful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. I believe that learning should be joyful, and I often say, “I don’t work—I play and enjoy every moment with the children.” My goal is to continue expanding my knowledge and skills while contributing to the growth and development of young learners in a supportive, engaging environment.

Building strong, meaningful relationships with both the children and their families is at the heart of my work.

Having worked in various educational settings, I have developed the ability to adapt to the individual needs of each child. Whether working with young learners in early childhood education or supporting older students with specific learning challenges, I strive to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and capable of reaching their full potential. My approach is rooted in patience, empathy, and a deep belief in the importance of building strong, trusting relationships with children. Seeing children grow in confidence and curiosity is what inspires me every day.

I graduated from Seneca College with my ECE Diploma in 2014 and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from York University in 2023. Outside of work, I enjoy baking and crocheting. And if I had to pick a favorite Disney character, it would definitely be Winnie the Pooh.

Outside of work, I love reading, exploring new places, and spending quality time with my family and community.

Being an educator is something I care about deeply. I feel proud when I see the children under my professional care gaining confidence and believing in themselves.

I enjoy spending time with children and making sure mealtimes are smooth and fun. When I’m not working, I love cooking and trying out new recipes. Being creative in the kitchen is one of my favorite ways to relax
