Founded on May 19, 1989, Champions Children’s Centre has been a trusted pillar of early childhood education in Flemingdon Park for over 35 years. Our journey began with a vision to create a nurturing, inclusive, and high-quality childcare environment that supports the diverse needs of families in our community. From our humble beginnings with a single preschool room for 16 children and a school-age program serving 26, we have steadily expanded in response to the growing demand for accessible childcare. In time, we introduced a kindergarten program and expanded our school-age program to accommodate even more families. Today, we continue to evolve, ensuring that we meet the needs of children and families through innovative programming, culturally responsive care, and a strong commitment to equity and inclusion.

Our experienced leadership, dedicated team of educators, and strong operational systems have allowed us to successfully expand our services over the years. We have a long-standing waitlist for infant and toddler spaces, reflecting the urgent demand for additional childcare in our community. Despite space limitations within our current location, we have continuously sought opportunities to grow and serve more families.

Our workforce is another key strength—our experienced supply educators are well-integrated into our organization’s culture and practices, allowing us to scale our team effectively as we expand. This ensures stability and continuity in our programs, providing families with the highest standards of care and education.
